Dog Boarding

The canine boarding facility has 2 wards consisting of a total of 38 private suites each measuring 4' x 12'. Each room has its' own private window, adjustable feeding bowls, and a cot for off the floor sleeping. Our overnight guests are all temperament tested upon arrival and assigned to one of the daycare playgroups. The daily routine for an overnight guest would be as follows. Our staff arrives each morning at 6:00 A.M. to start morning walks for our boarders. While being walked, another staff member is cleaning their suite and preparing their breakfast. The boarders are then allowed to eat and relax for a little while before their day begins. Meanwhile our staff is checking in our daycare clients and getting them into their playgroups. After all of the daycare clients arrive, the overnight boarders are then put into their playgroups and allowed to socialize and play until about 4:00 P.M. At that time they return to their suite where they will be able to relax for a couple of hours. At 7:00 P.M. the overnight guests have the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities such as nature hike, fetch, cuddle time and movie night etc. These activities allow your dog to spend a little one on one time with one of our staff members. We feed dinner at 5:00 P.M. and start our last walks at about 10:00 P.M. Our staff leaves our boarders at about 11:00 P.M.
The Guest Profile and Health Certificate must be turned in along with the $25.00 registration fee prior to the first reservation so that we may verify all the requirements have been met
The boarding rate is $36.00 per night (daycare is included)
We require each guest to bring his or her own food. It is important not to abruptly change an animal's diet. An abrupt change in diet could result in gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting and or diarrhea.
Please try to limit the amount of luggage brought for your boarder. We provide all toys for the daycare area, but you
are welcome to bring in beds, toys or something from home. All blankets or toys brought to our facility will stay in their suite and will not be brought into the daycare areas.
Vaccinations and Pharmaceuticals:
Rabies – 1 or 3 year
DHLPP or equivelent – once per year; titers are acceptable
Heartworm test – Once per year – All dogs must be on monthly heartworm prevention (we recommend interceptor)
Bordetella – Due within 6 months of a reservation
Fecal Tests: Fecal tests are needed to prevent the contamination of whipworms and other intestinal parasites as well as checking for giardia and coccidian, all of which are transmittable to animals and humans. We require a fecal test within 6 months of a reservation.
De-worming – A yearly dewormer is required if your pet is not on Interceptor year round. A fecal test alone is not accepted because they can be incorrect if eggs are not being shed at the time of the test.
Veterinary approved flea and tick control – Frontline, Top Spot must be purchased from your veterinarian and applied monthly.
**All preventatives and vaccines must be purchased from your Veterinarian for verification.
THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING OUR FACILITY POLICIES
Friendly reminder!
Boarders may get scratched and roughed up a little when playing. Just as human children on a playground, they can get scratches and bumps from running and wrestling. Please expect to see these types of things on occasion. Our daycare assistant will make you aware of any active aggression; otherwise do not be alarmed by scratches or bumps.
